Kirstie Alley's Everlasting Affection for John Travolta The Greatest Love of My Life

Kirstie Alley's Everlasting Affection for John Travolta The Greatest Love of My Life

In her own words before her passing at the age of 71, Kirstie Alley expressed that John Travolta was the love of her life. The actress, who succumbed to a recent cancer diagnosis on Monday, shared the screen with Travolta in the 1989 film Look Who's Talking and its two sequels: Look Who's Talking Too (1990) and Look Who's Talking Now (1993).

In 2018, during her stint on Celebrity Big Brother U.K., Alley opened up about her deep feelings for Travolta, revealing that she not only thought she "kissed Travolta" but also entertained the idea of "almost running off and marrying" him.

"I did love him; I still love him," she candidly declared. "If I hadn't been married, I would've gone and married him, and I would've been in an airplane because he has his own plane."

The spark between Alley and Travolta ignited during the Look Who's Talking film series, where they portrayed love interests James and Mollie Ubriacco (née Jensen). The characters serendipitously meet when Mollie, in labor, hops into James's taxi.

Initially planning to raise her son as a single mother due to the baby's father not intending to stay, Mollie's life takes an unexpected turn as she and the taxi-driving James, played by Travolta, fall deeply in love. Together, they navigate the highs and lows of family life, eventually expanding their family to include daughter Julie. The films beautifully capture their journey, with the first film even featuring a scene where James, a pilot just like Travolta, takes Mollie on a memorable plane ride.
