Prince Harry and Meghan Where do they get their money

Prince Harry and Meghan Where do they get their money

Prince Harry and Meghan no longer receive money from the Royal Family, and have a series of commercial arrangements with a number of companies.
Netflix has released the latest documentary it has made with the couple, a five-part series about the Invictus Games, which Harry launched, in 2014, to showcase veterans injured during their military careers.

Harry and Meghan met in 2016 and married in 2018. They stepped down as senior royals in January 2020. Angry about media intrusion, the couple were frustrated that Buckingham Palace stopped them developing their "SussexRoyal" brand.

Harry remained a prince, and he and Meghan kept their Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles, but they are no longer addressed as his/her royal highness (HRH).The couple moved to California in June 2020, saying they wanted space to raise Archie, and to develop their charitable Archewell Foundation. Lilibet was born in 2021.

The duke and duchess returned to the UK for the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee in June 2022, and her funeral in September. After much speculation, Prince Harry attended the King's coronation in May without his wife.

On 17 May, after attending an awards ceremony in New York, Harry, Meghan and her mother were involved in what the couple's representative described as a "near- catastrophic car chase" involving paparazzi, although there were conflicting accounts of what happened.

The Sussexes' media company, Archewell Productions, makes various programmes for Netflix in an arrangement thought to be worth millions of dollars. This included the Harry & Meghan documentary series in which the couple talked about life in the Royal Family.

In August, the five-part documentary series Heart of Invictus was released, in which Harry describes his emotional "unravelling" after military service in Afghanistan in 2013. Archewell also made podcasts for Spotify, including Archetypes, in which Meghan talked to other high-profile women. The contract was estimated to be worth $25m (£18m) in late 2020 but ended in June 2023.

The couple were interviewed by US presenter Oprah Winfrey in March 2021, but said they were not paid for the appearance.Harry's memoir, Spare, was officially published in January 2023 - but much of the book's content leaked in advance, including the claim he was physically attacked by his brother, the Prince of Wales.

Written in conjunction with JR Moehringer, the book also discusses his grief over the death of his mother, Princess Diana, and says he and William urged their father not to marry his partner, Camilla, now the Queen.
