Taylor Swift Emerges as the Singular Female Artist Achieving the Most No. 1 Albums in Recorded History

Breaking records appears to be Taylor Swift's forte. The songstress has recently clinched additional accolades, with her latest album storming to the summit of the Billboard 200 chart.

Swift not only becomes the premier woman, standing as the third artist overall, to have a quartet of albums simultaneously gracing the Top 10 but also shatters the previous record for the highest number of No. 1 albums held by a female artist throughout history.

This month witnessed the release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) as part of her highly triumphant venture to re-record her discography, triggered by a dispute with former manager Scooter Braun. The album has swiftly amassed a staggering 716,000 equivalent album units, marking it as the most substantial album release of the year.

As Lover, Midnights, and Folklore join Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) in the illustrious top 10 lineup, Swift strides in the footsteps of iconic artists such as Prince and the eminent American trumpeter Herb Alpert, standing as the only other figures to boast four albums concurrently gracing the Top 10.

The reimagined iteration of Speak Now not only encompasses the standard 14 tracks from the original album but also incorporates bonus cuts and previously unreleased recordings, culminating in a grand total of 22 tracks. Attendees of her Kansas City concert on July 7 were treated to the premiere of the music video accompanying the album’s “From the Vault” track, “I Can See You,” featuring the star.
